I've been going here a while and it just dawned on me I've never reviewed it. This is one of my favorite local restaurants for a few reasons. The service is second to none. I bring my little boy here and have been on dates here as well. Each and everytime we are treated well with prompt service no matter who our server is. They have a well rounded menu so whatever your in the mood for. The Cajun Pasta is absolutely delicious. The last thing I got from there was through doordash. I got the house salad with blackened chicken and Yukon garlic gold mashed potatoes on the side. It was so good I'm still thinking about it.

We came around 8pm on a Saturday and it was almost empty so we had a nice quiet corner. Server was super friendly and quick. I got the shrimp and grits with gumbo cup, husband got the grass fed burger. We had the house made chips and spinach and artichoke dip for a starter. We also got desserts. Husband said burger was good, but flavor was a bit odd (he thought maybe it's because he isn't used to grass fed). I thought the shrimp and grits was really good, but wasn't a big fan of the gumbo. Dip and chips were very good, and dessert was nice as well. I wouldn't be opposed to returning some time.

I like this place. Pretty standard, but good, American good. Blackened Chicken Pizza- this pizza is alright. The chicken is good, but they could use some work on the crust. It lacked flavor and the undercarriage was very floppy. Fries- the French fries here are very tasty. I am not sure exactly what it is about them that I like, but they are really good.

This is a well-known place for lawyers and business people to grab a lunch or have happy hour beers and drinks. The food is quite good, easily better than Applebee's. We had burgers, pizzas, and salads. The service was fine, though a little slow to place the order at first. The interior could use an upgrade, especially the bathrooms. We though the prices were fair given the location a block from the courthouse.

Shrimp and Grits, Chicken Gumbo and Spicy Chicken Wings were our entree's. The food was tasty. Observation if you have restrictions on salt not overly salty, the spice is definitely there. I would definitely recommend and I will return.

I had a very good experience here for my very first time. I ordered a salmon sandwich and had french fries. I was very pleased with the fact that they fulfilled my order as I requested. The salmon sandwich is technically supposed to be served cold. However, I requested that they heat the salmon and they did. The restrooms were clean and the server was nice. I don't really have a lot to say about the experience except that it was a good time. It's definitely a "feel good restaurant." Hence my giving them four stars as opposed to five.

With a very warm and comfortable interior, C.J. Mugg's provides a very inviting dining experience. The food was plentiful and very well prepared. Plus they have outdoor dining just above street level. Overall very good marks. I won't hesitate returning.

Food here is not great, even for bar food, it is sub-standard. The ravioli tasted funky. It may have had pork in it. The pizza tasted like frozen cheap ones from the grocery. Service was really slow, and they were not even busy. Ok place if I just want a few beers in downtown Clayton
